2005 Battle of Bibb Furnace

Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park is proud to announce that the Battle of Bibb Furnace will be held September 17th – 18th, 2005, at the site of the Confederate furnace that provided the iron for the Selma Arsenal.
The camps will be open to the public at 9:AM, and the battle re-enactment will be at 2:PM on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a period ball Saturday evening at 7:PM. Also, there will be plenty of food and period shopping.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12, and kids under 6 are free.
All profits will benefit the stabilization and preservation of the furnace at Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park, the only ironworks actually owned by the Confederate States of America.
| Brierfield is located off Interstate 65 on Alabama Highway 25. From Birmingham take I-65 South or from Montgomery take I-65 North to Alabama Highway 25 exit. Go South on Hwy 25 approximately 15 miles. Park entrance is on the left. From Tuscaloosa take US Highway 82 to Centreville; at Centreville turn left onto Alabama Highway 25 towards Montevallo. Park is approximately 12 miles from Centreville. | ![]() |
